Hello all you wonderful people! Hope you’re having a solid holiday weekend!
Okay, so, I kind of fell off the face of the Earth in August. It was necessary as there were a few home improvement issues that needed attention. And then there was a small mishap a few weeks ago where I had a disagreement with gravity.

I’ll talk more about that in a later post. The short version is that my face has since healed, leaving a small scar on my lip for character. My knee is a little jacked for now, which means I’ve been spending a lot of time in bed. But that doesn’t have to be a bad thing, right? It’s given me the opportunity to write with nothing else in the way!
· I restarted work on the first draft of a project I began in the beginning of the pandemic. Words are coming slowly, but progress after so much time is a positive, no matter how you slice it. I’m going to keep chipping away at it throughout the month, and I’ll show some early draft chapters once the draft is done.
· We’re coming to the home stretch of the chapter-by-chapter alpha read of Urban Legend. The person I have working with me on it has so far given me positive feedback, and the story itself has some great bones. The probability that this is something solid exists, and I’m over the moon with that notion.
· In the theme of keeping busy, I’m working on a short story or three. I’m going to plow away at those, and hopefully I’ll be able to have something shareable soon.
And with that, September is off to the races! Soon, summer barbecues and beach days will be replaced with school buses and early sunsets as we collectively wonder where the summer went. Technically, it’s here until September 21, so go out and enjoy the last hurrah!
Cheers!
