Happy New Year, everybody!
It’s been a while since I’ve visited this site. The dust that’s collected here is epic; how often does the dust on a website get so thick that you sneeze? And I guess that’s reasonable, considering I haven’t been on this site since—WOW—last March! Holy crap. I hadn’t realized it had been so long since I’d come up for air. I’m glad I live in the northwest, or the sun would burn my eyes.

Bad joke, sorry.
I could sit here and talk for a while about why I’ve been gone—and I will, at some point—but I think now might not be the right time. It’s bad manners to start a new year by just info-dumping last year’s problems. Anyway, since it’s been a while, and/or since you don’t really know me, my name is Franklyn Thomas. Frank to my friends. I love stories.
I love reading them. Watching them. Playing them. Writing them. Telling them. Talking about them. Stories are the tapestry of life and have been since the dawn of civilization. I want to put out and take in as many stories as humanly possible. My bookshelf—especially my TBR queue—is an anxiety-inducing testament to that. So is this site, and so is this blog.
I’m going to talk a lot about stories in this space. I’m going to talk about the stories I consume, either by reading, watching, or playing. I’m going to tell stories of my experiences with the people I encounter day-to-day. Every so often, I’ll share a story I’ve created or talk about one I’m actively working on. And I want everyone to tell me their stories or talk about the stories they’re working on.
It's my fervent hope that the collective story of 2026 is made up of a million little stories of us becoming the best versions of ourselves. Started from the bottom, now we’re here, and all that. I’ll tell you my story. Tell me yours.
Cheers.
