What’s going on, people?
How was the opening part of 2026? Have you broken any resolutions yet? Have you come across the last person you know that you haven’t seen yet since New Year’s Day, finally putting to rest saying Happy New Year? Have you found a way to resist a fat orange fascist yet? Gotten all your tax forms?
I’m fortunate enough to say I did all of those things, and the first two months of the year were fine. Mostly. There were the points where it was an utter dumpster fire. However, every day above the dirt is a good day, and if you’re reading this, then you are also on the right side of the dirt.
But January wasn’t all bad though, and neither was February. I just passed the 50% mark on my edit! Woo-hoo! And for the first time in my life, I’m enjoying the process. And wow, that’s weird. There is something to the notion that you should wait a while before starting your first edit. This feels like someone else wrote it, and it’s not a bad thing. In the meantime, my post-burnout hair keeps growing.

I’ve also started working on a new short story. This one won’t be ready for a while, but I do have one to share with you by the end of March. Keep an eye on this space! Here's a look at my project board for this month:

January wasn’t perfect, and neither was February. But hey, it's almost March now, and Spring Training is back. Better days are ahead. What do you all have coming up?
