Dream Until Your Dream Comes True

I’ve had a recurring daydream since I was a teenager.
I would go to the bookstore - Barnes & Noble, usually – and stand in the Fiction & Literature section, near the letter T. And somewhere after Dylan Thomas, or whoever might be popular at the time, I’d see my books, my name. It’s not the same kind of dream most people in my neighborhood had, but hey, I hung out in bookstores a lot.
I bring this up because recently I answered a question as to what I would consider successful when it came to my writing. I answered it with my business mind that one day I’d like for my fiction career to supplement my retirement. I’d sell enough books to inflate a fixed income in 20 years. Silly me for answering with the responsible brain. I still would get a kick out of seeing my name in a Barnes & Noble. That’s my answer, and I’m sticking to it.
So to all my people out there who are creative types, musicians, writers, artists, designers, what’s your daydream? Feel free to comment!
