Hey, everybody! Welcome back!

May is in full swing, and Spring is alive. Flowers have bloomed, the trees have filled in their leafy greens, coats and sweaters can finally go into storage and baseball is…

… is that an ice cream truck I hear? Hang on a moment.

IIIIICCEEE CREEEEAAAMMMM!!!

Excuse me while I try not to drip soft-serve on my keyboard. Now that I took that necessary ice cream break, I can fill you in on all the stuff on the agenda for May!

Shameless plug. Check it out!

--I started the first draft of Daddy’s Little Girl, the sequel to my 2014 novel The Favorite that will serve as the centerpiece of my upcoming short fiction anthology. I’m shooting for a novella, and though I haven’t quite finished plotting it, I figure I’ll write what I have ready so far, and the rest will work itself out. Ideally, I’d like to get the draft done by the end of this month

--I’ve resumed editing 4play, though at a slower pace. I’ll come clean; it’s been rough going. Editing isn’t my favorite literary activity, even though I have qualified help. I’d better learn to love it, though, and soon.

Noir by Christopher Moore. Review to come...

--Christopher Moore has released his latest novel, Noir. I’ve suspended all other leisure reading to tackle it, so expect a review to come before the end of the month. Moore is my favorite author, and a new release from him is like a holiday. This should be fun.

--I just returned from my latest visit to my hometown, and I’ll be happy to talk about it, including how to approach a friend you haven’t seen in several years without getting punched in the face.

And that’s about it! I hope everyone is enjoying their Spring as much as I am. Thanks for stopping by, and keep reading!
