Hey, everyone! Welcome back!

Another February rolls around, and it’s that time again when we finally awaken from a long winter. It’s that joyous time of year that reenergizes millions of people who have suffered mightily from their frozen doldrums. That’s right, Spring Training is once again upon us! Pitchers and catchers report to camp this week, and that puts us at seven short weeks before Opening Day. Baseball is back!

It’s been a long winter, folks, and full of depressing news items, from the death of a controversial American athlete and his daughter to the death of American Democracy™. That, among other things, has been on my mind and in my feelings over the last few weeks. Bad things seem to happen when it’s cold. I’m thrilled for baseball’s return, as it’s one of the great joys of my life. Let’s go Yankees!

Anyway, here’s what’s going on at this end for the next month or so:

- I’m about halfway through the latest revision of 4play. I’m enjoying the rewrite as it comes along, and it won’t be long before it’s time to beg for beta readers. After the beta phase, I’ll do a few tweaks, then send it to a professional editor for polish. After that… after that I might have a finished novel on my hands!

- My latest short story, Searching for Ms. Hero should be up on the site at the end of the month! It’s the story of a grandmother telling her grandchild a fairy tale about the long-disappeared superhero that watched over their city that seems a little too real.

- The Knicks have vacillated between terrible and circus-like. This month, I’m going to talk about their new team president, their new image consultant, and the inability of the franchise to get out of its own way.

And there will be more, of course. Stay tuned for more posts, updates, and stories!
